Poems from 'Transcapes' Raincame

Updated: Jun 28

RAINCAME

The rain begins.

Tentative at first,

Filling to a fine haze,

Insidious and sizzling.

Finding the furthest

Corners of furze

And fields

To soak,

To flood.

And afterwards,

Steeping

In shiny silence,

New life is leased.

Stretched out,

Brazen,

Bigger,

Broader,

Brimming,

Bolstered,

Booming,

Brighter,

Bursting,

Bountiful,

Better.
