Ann is the Coordinator for the Writer's Group. She says 'As Coordinator of
the Group meetings, I have a sort of benign control over proceedings.
I have a deep interest in adult learning. I teach Literature, part-time, for
the Workers' Educational Association. I write short stories and poetry. These
are based loosely on events that happen to myself and others, or sometimes
on people's conversations that I overhear by chance.
I also write songs which are influenced by folk culture, jazz and 'world'
music. I enjoy singing in local folk music clubs and in community events at
the Sage. I find that words are born out of music, and music in turn gives
life to words. Everyone has at least one song in them. Come to the Writer's
Group and find your song or story.'
